“Vento, caldo, pioggia, tempesta”, il clima del mondo in mostra a Trastevere

La siccità nel sud Italia, l’acqua alta a Venezia, il tifone Hayan nelle Filippine, l’innalzamento del livello del mare nelle isole del Pacifico: il Museo di Roma in Trastevere ospita “Vento, caldo, pioggia, tempesta. Istantanee di vita e ambiente nell’era dei cambiamenti climatici”, una mostra organizzata da Greenpeace Italia che racconta gli impatti dei cambiamenti climatici su tante aree del mondo.

“Vento, caldo, pioggia, tempesta” raccoglie oltre 50 fotografie provenienti da ogni parte della Terra. Nubifragi, ondate di calore, siccità e tutti i fenomeni meteorologici estremi sono sempre più intensi e frequenti proprio a causa dei cambiamenti climatici.

People watch flames as night falls during the Holy Fire near Corona, California. Brushy, drylands in California between Orange and Riverside counties continue to burn, leading to more than 20,000 evacuations from a fire blamed on arson. The Holy Fire has scorched more than 21,473 acres after it ignited in the Cleveland National Forest’s Holy Jim Canyon. Thick smoke and ash spewing from the fire prompted air quality warnings. As in many of the wildfires burning across the state, steep terrain in the Holy Fire is making it difficult for fire crews and engines to get close to the flames.

Secondo la scienza l’unica soluzione è quella di abbandonare carbone, petrolio e gas e accelerare la transizione energetica verso un mondo totalmente rinnovabile, oltre che diminuire il consumo di carne e fermare la deforestazione. L’esposizione racconta dunque una realtà preoccupante con cui dobbiamo fare i conti.

“Vento, caldo, pioggia, tempesta. Istantanee di vita e ambiente nell’era dei cambiamenti climatici” inaugura martedì 11 dicembre alle 18 in Piazza Sant’Egidio 1B (zona Trastevere). La mostra sarà aperta da mercoledì 12 dicembre 2018 a domenica 10 marzo 2019. Per i possessori della nuova MIC Card l’ingresso è gratuito. Altrimenti le tariffe sono le seguenti:
